Kenny K Sketch

Woohoo made it!! Second post of the night. This has got to be the quickest card I have ever made. This week at Kenny K, the marvelous Rachel Jakes has supplied a fab sketch for the challenge.
For the first time I created the card before colouring the image. I knew I wanted to use my new g.c.d papers called Paris Nights and I was going to colour the image in black & greys, thank god I didn't as it would not have gone as well with the papers. Used the fantastic Harley Rider and coloured her with copics and the sentiment is from LOTV and thats about it. Really enjoyed making this card, definatley going to put my papers together first in the future hehe.

Anyway hope you like my Kenny K, thank you Rach for a fab sketch and fab inspiration and now I am off to bed :)

Stitch & Sketch

Finally managed to get a card completed and blogged. Had the week off for half term and have no idea where it has gone. Anyway made this card for someone at work and followed the fab sketch over at Friday Sketchers, which btw they have managed to get Rachel Jakes to help them with their challenges. I have followed Rach's blog for a while now and I adore her cards, she is amazing so this is fantastic news :) Have used a stamp from Moments in Time collection (am determined to make cards using all these stamps!) She is coloured with Promarkers, so am also entering the I ♥ Promarkers challenge which this week the theme is Stitching and I have machine stitched around the backing papers, I know a bit safe but I just wanted to get a card finished hehe. Papers were a freebie with my cuttlebug and the patterned paper is from Dovecraft. White flower from Wild Orchid and everything else is from my stash.

Off now to hopefully get a Kenny K card done for their challenge, which Rach has done the sketch for (she gets every where! hehe)

Have a fab Sunday and don't forget to leave a comment as I love to read them :)

Kenny K - Anything with an R

Made this card the other week for another Kenny K challenge (I think) but I was to late finishing it, nothing new there hehe. So this weeks challenge is to use anything that begins with R.
So have used the fab Devilish Donna (I love her) and colored her with Red promarkers, have used a Red heart and some black Ribbon hehe, I hope thats enough R's :) The papers are from g.c.d called Paris Nights, which are beautifull if not a little expensive!

Thank you for popping by and don't forget to leave a comment as I love to read them :)

Paper Piecing

Yay I got another card finished!!

This week at I ♥ Promarkers the challenge is for paper piecing. Have only done this once before and was really unsure on an image to use. Love this digi from Charmed Cards & Crafts and thought the umberella would be ideal for paper piecing.
Have paper pieced the umberella and the girls boots with paper from Country Companions the sentiment is from country companions as well. Coloured the rest of the image with promarkers. Backing papers are from g.c.d not really sure about the flowers on this card don't think they are the right colour but anyway some are from Wild Orchid and others are from my stash. Followed a fab sketch from Friday Sketchers.

Off now to feed the kids, but will hopefully get around some blogs later and look at your lovelly creations :)

Kenny K Circles

Finally managed to get a card finished this week in time for a challenge!

Kenny K wanted circles this week, so I have gone all out on circles with this card.
Used my ek cutter to make the larger circles and spellbinder die's for the scalloped circle and smaller circle. Used a LOTV circle sentiment and the flowers have been made using punched circles. Hope thats enough circles hehe.
Used the fab Delores D'ammage and coloured her with promarkers and copics. Paper is from paper cellar called Victorian Classic. Dies from Marriane and MS and some gems from my stash.

Close up of the flowers made using a circle punch to punch out around 20 circles and glue to a 1" circle. Idea came from a mgazine but they made the flowers much bigger with around 50 punched circles.
Hope you like my circle card and don't forget to leave a comment as I love to read them :)

Whats on Your Workdesk Wednesday? 89

Another Wednesday is nearly over so thought I had best take a quick pic of my desk. Not much going on this week, have not really made any cards lately, coloured a few images in but not managed to make them into cards.
Am just in the middle of finishing the Kenny K card for their circle challenge this week, fingers crossed I get it finished and blogged before Saturday when the challenge closes!
I also went on a bit of a shopping spree this weekend, these bits were all piled up so spread them out abit so you could see them. Brought the G.C.D papers from WHSmith, but a little annoyed with myself as they were on the sale shelf and you can see where the sale stickers have been picked off and I was charged full price for them, should have queried it really as I wouldn't have brought them otherwise. The other bits I brought from Hobbycraft on Monday. Love the Paper Cellar papers and have used them on the card i'm making. The cupcake stamps were only 99p and they had a big basket full of different images. The Country Companions papers were only £1.99 and so was the heart embossing folder, they had also got the clear stamps for £3.50, but I wanted the Lovers Lane set and I think they were sold out, oh well.
Anyway happy WOYWW to everyone out there in blog land and if you want to see some more workspaces hop over to Julia's blog :)

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday? 88

Well my desk is starting to look untidy! Have resisted the temptation to tidy, but may have to give it a little tidy before I start my next card. There are still bits and pieces lying around from last week!

Didn't manage to finish the card in the centre, which was for the Kenny K challenge the other week. But have coloured another Kenny K image in red for this weeks challenge so will hopefully finish that one and I made a card for my brother (by the guillotine) and underneath are still all those pesky circles I cut out the other week Wanted to show you a better close up of these packets of stickers I got from The Works on Saturday for 59p!!! They are all decoupage with little bits added and there were so many different varieties, I was amazed, am hoping they still have them as I want to get some more this Saturday. 59p!!! What more can I say
Have a fab Wednesday and pop over to Julia's place and have a looksie at some fab workdesks out there!

Anything Goes

This week at I ♥ Promarkers the challenge is Anything Goes and as I was making this card for a lady I used to work with, I thought I would enter it into the challenge. I am very late this week with this challenge and love blog hopping through all the wonderfull entries over at I ♥ Promarkers but there are over 200 this week so not sure I will make it around them all.
Anyway for this card I used a stamp from Moments In Time called Just For You, took me a few goes to get it to imprint perfectly and I still think it looks a little heavy. I have the collection of these stamps but this is the first time I have used any of them and I think they are going to take a bit of practice. She is coloured with promarkers and the papers were a freebie with my Quick Cards magazine called Vintage Rose Collection. This is the first time I have used zig-zag stitching on my cards and the inspiration for this card is from Rachel Jakes her cards are amazing.
I even did the inside for this card again following the inspiration from Rach :)
Posted this card off today so really hope my old work colleague likes it as she also makes cards and always sends me a handmade card for my birthday.

Thank you for stopping by and dont forget to leave a comment as I love reading them :)

Whats on Your Workdesk? Wednesday 87

Quick post tonight, been very busy at work so really tired and need an early night, but I have got the day off tomorrow so hoping to get a bit of crafting done as I haven't managed to enter any challenges yet this week.

Am working on a KennyK card for their challenge 'My Favorite Things', but I love it all so very difficult to decide what to do with the card. I have still got a pile of cut out circles and bits and pieces on my craft mat from last week, must find somewhere to put them!

I was also given an invite today by a work colleague to his civil partnership, which isn't until June. I have known for a while they were getting married and have been trying to put together ideas for a card for them, I now know their color scheme is black and silver, but at the moment I haven't got a clue what to make for them so any ideas on that would be greatly appreciated :)

Happy WOYWW to everyone and if you fancy seeing other desks out there in blog world check out Julia's web site :)
