Less is More - Recipe

Another week has flown by and can't believe we are nearly in April. Have been a very bad blogger of late and have not done much on the card making front as work, decorating and now the lovely weather so the garden is calling all seem to be getting in the way!

Spent a lovely day at the NEC yesterday and brought some nice new stash, mainly die's I was after and some perfect pearls, which I have never used before and came away with lots of ideas. Seeing the cards in real life, specially the LOTV cards I was amazed how truly beautiful and sparkly they are you so don't get to see that when you are just looking at them on-line, not that they don't look fab they are just so much better in real life.

Anyway enough waffle, this weeks challenge at Less is More is a recipe using any 3 of the previous challenges.
I had to use one of my fab new dies from Marianne and sparkled it with some stickles. Stamped and embossed the sentiment and trail in silver. Do think it is missing a little something, but then don't I always hehe. On a first attempt I had stamped some tiny butterflies in the back ground and dusted over with perfect pearls in pearl which looked affective but wasn't sure so left it off the final card might just try it again and see what it looks like.

Challenges used:

Week 14 White on White
Week 16 Butterfly
Week 55 Punches or die cuts

Hope everyone is having a fab weekend and enjoying the sunshine :)

Less is More - Masking

Another weekend is finally here, how quick the weeks are going. Have got a few days off from work and I am ment to be doing a bit of decorating, but thought I would have a quick go at the Less is More challenge, which this week is masking.
I watched Barbara Gray do something similar the other week, although I must admit I watched it through a bit of a haze suffering from a hangover, was very annoyed with myself for drinking to much wine hehe. Used a couple of post-It's to make a mask and then stamped around the edge with my lovely Kanban stamps and embossed in white. I used my brayer to add colour round the edges with Tim Holtz Broken China and Adirondack Juniper and used a clarity stamp for the sentiment. Mounted on to black card and thats about it.

Well thats it for today, off to sort some tea and will be back to do some commenting :)

Less is More - Script

Really quick post tonight, as it is now late and just about to head to bed :)

This weeks Less is More is one layer script, well this didn't frighten me as much as it used to as nowadays alot of my cards are one layer and really starting to like them.
Did a bit of masking for this card and used Tim Holtz antique linen for the background. Used a word stamp in rich cocoa and my lovely new Kanban stamps, which I am so enjoying using.

Anyway thats it for tonight, there are some fab cards over at Less is More and will do some visiting tomorrow :)

Thanks for stopping by.

Less is More - Neutrals

Well here we are at another Saturday and it's March!! Where the heck is this year going.

Anyway this week at Less is More is a colour challenge and Chrissie & Mandi have chosen Neutrals.
I had some new stamps arrive the other day from Kanban Crafts so used them to create this card. Stamped the images in Rich Cocoa and coloured with Prismas and added some liquid pearls. The butterfly is stamped onto some bronze card with the Rich Cocoa and cut out and again added some liquid pearls.

Thank you for stopping by to day :)
