What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday

I have not managed to join in with this blog for quiet a while now, but I do still check in with Julia every now and again and have a quick mooch around some of the desk out there in blog land.

I spent all day Saturday completely gutting my craft room, threw stuff away, filed papers away, organised stamps, cleared my desk and gave it a good clean and then look what I filled it with!!
Have been eyeing up one of these for ever and they had them on Creat & Craft on Sunday so after more delibaration and some pushing by my OH (can't believe he was encouraging me to buy it) I ordered it and it arrived yesterday.

Work has been a little manic so have only managed a little play with it tonight and am hopeing to get more time at the weekend to really put it through it's paces hehe

Anyway thank you for popping by, and if you want to see some more desks out there pop by Julia's blog xx

KennyK - Strawberries & Cream

Well it's the end of a very busy week, work has been manic, youngest son had his leaver asembly at junior school and it was his birthday on Friday.  Not had much time to make cards never mind blogging but I did spend most of Saturday clearing, sorting and tidying my craft room so now I don't want to make any cards as I dont want to mess it up hehe.

I did however make this card for the KennyK challenge, which this week is Strawberries & Cream.
Used the very sweet 'Club Kid' and coloured her with promarkers and copics.  Paper is from g.c.d and all the other bits are from my stash.

Why not head on over to KennyK's and show us your take on Strawberries & Cream :)

KennyK - Celebrating 2 years of Krafty challenges

Well how exciting is this, my first ever post as a design team member for Kenny K and what makes this even more special is I actually won the amazing blog hop last year to celebrate their first year!

I have actually made 2 cards this week for the theme BIG BIRTHDAYS.

The first one using Uptown Angel, this is her first time out for me, and she is coloured with promarkers and copics.  Have been experimenting with hair colours and really like this combination using Burnt Orange, Bright Orange & Gold.  The paper is from DCWV called Hippie Chic and have used dies from Crealies, Marriane, Martha Stewart, nesties and sentiment stamp from LOTV. The flower and mesh were from my KennyK win last year :)
This card I actually made for my nephew who was 18 last week and used the very hansom Ryder Cole. Won him the other week off another KennyK challenge :) Papers are from K&Co called Hopscotch, another sentiment from LOTV & the 18 today was computer generated using Crazy Loot.  The rest of the bits are from my stash.

So now its your turn to join in with this birthday challenge and you could win some fantastic prizes:-

Less is More - Gold

Another Saturday has arrived with mixed weather, just as I decide to put the washing out it starts raining again.  Never mind gives me the chance to sit crafting and watching the ladies Wimbledon final.  Match going on longer than I expected.  After that first set thought Serna was going to wipe the floor with this little girl hehe.

Any way this weeks Less is More challenge is GOLD.  Wanted to try out my new Clarity stamps which are for next months lesson.  Although I love these stamps, they are all indivdual, I can't seem to put on to paper what I am imaging.  They are going to need a lot more playing with me thinks. :)

Quick update on my Mom, she is doing really well, my sister brought her round for a visit yesterday and she is walking brilliantly. Soon have her hopping and skipping again.

Do pop back tomorrow as it will be my first post as a DT member for Kenny K, so nervous although trying to work out the blogging side was more of a challenge than I thought it would be hehe.  It is also their 2nd birthday so there are some massive prizes up for grabs.

Have a great weekend all and thanks for popping by

Less is More - Lucky Dip

Evening lovely bloggers, bit late with the Less is More challenge this week, had a bit of a hectic time recently with my mother going in to hospital for a hip replacement, my sister moving house and new buildings opening at work so I had to work today.

Anyway this week Mandi & Chrissie want us to use their blog header for inspiration.

Didn't really have any suitable stamps to use for this one so stuck to using paper and a computer generated sentiment. This card will be heading to my moms neighbour who has been fantastic helping me and my brother and sister look after mom since she has come out of hospital.

Hope everyone has had a fantastic weekend and thank you for stopping by :)
