Kenny K challenge No: 3

I Love these Kenny K images so thought I would have a go at this weeks challenge.
The challenge was set by Donna with a sketch and here is my attempt.....
Have used the 'All that' image and coloured her with copics and promarkers. Papers are from a Bits and Pieces Crafty Book, flowers and gems from the stash.

Have only purchased this image so far! Can definitely see more of these images making there way into my shopping trolly :)

Thank you for a great challenge - this is the first time I have followed a sketch and I really enjoyed making this card.

Lets go to the movies

The challenge this week over at Dottie's World was to use a Charmed Crafts download and relate it to a movie. Well this had me stumped so had to ask my other half for help and he actually gave me loads of ideas. I ended up going with Mary Poppins and 'Lets go fly a kite'.

I hope you like her.................
A very simple card just using one of the girls from the Sugar and Spice collection and just a few bits and pieces from the stash.

Kenny K

I first came across these images on Rachel Jakes's blog and thought they were absolutely stunning. I have only purchased this image........................so far :)
Coloured her in with copics and promarkers.
Background paper is from the Vintage Heaven cd by Debbie Moore the other papers Ihave had for years so not to sure what they are. Sentiment is from TLC. Flowers and gems from the stash.
I will be giving this card to another girlfriend at work for her birthday in August. I hope she likes it.

Lady in Red

Made this card for a girlfriend at work for her birthday - she actually asked me to make her a red card as this is her favourite colour.
The image is from My Craft Studio Deco Follies, I just adore these ladies, coloured with copics & promarkers and the papers are from the Vintage Heaven CD by Debbi Moore, flowers and gems from the stash.
My friend loved her card.

That Summer Feeling

The challenge this week over at Dottie's World is to make a summery card but something different than you would usually make......pretty much everything I'm making at the moment is different :)

I love this image of Dottie and George getting married and have wanted to use the reverse of this image for a while. A work colleague had asked if I could make a card for her son to give to his brother on their wedding day (which was Saturday) so this is what I made............
Used the pre-coloured image from the Love & Marriage collection - papers were a freebie with a magazine. Sunburst image is from Istockphoto. Flowers, gems and ribbon from the stash, sentiment from TLC. Used acetate to cover the circle cut from the middle of the card.

And here is the inside...........
This is the first card I have made for someone else to give and apparently brother, bride and groom were chuffed and I got a bottle of wine for making it :)
Thank you once again for a fab challenge.

Vintage Style

The Sunday challenge set by Gunn over at Dotties World was for Vintage Style. Wasn't sure if I could do vintage but here's my attempt.
Used one of the very pretty Sugar and Spice girls and coloured her with promarkers - think I need to look at using a different paper for printing the images on to as I am getting bleed issues especially with the darker colours. Papers are from K&Company that I have had for absolutely years and have never known what to use them for. Paper roses from stash, which were actually white and coloured them with promarkers.
I even did an inside for this card inspired by Karen (which is why I didnt post last night - took longer than expected :))
Sentiment is from TLC

Thank you for a fab challenge, I am actually making cards now just because I can rather than having someone in mind. Plus I am getting to use alot of my stash that I have been collecting for years and not really making the most of :)

Hot it Up!

I am so late with this again! Another challenge from Dottie's World where they wanted to see HOT colours.

I hope this is hot enoughUsed one of the fab images from Holy & Madison World Tour collection and used the paper piecing again from last week and coloured her with copics. Papers were a freebie with a scrapbooking magazine. Made a couple of quilled orange roses. Text is from Create with TLC (what a fantastic site that is) and added the must have sparkle. The orange roses have been glittered as well but i dont think it shows to well in the photo. (Have given my fella the challenge of taking photos of my cards and still show the sparkle!)

Thank you for yet another brill challenge. Am now off to look at this weeks challenge although i'm not sure I can do vintage, but I will give it ago.

Paper Piecing

Another fab challenge again this week over at Dottie's World. Again something I have never really tried - paper piecing. To be honest I wasn't quite sure what it ment at first and had to look it up! Thank you for the challenge.

Here is my card

Used one of the lovely Girls about Town from Charmed Cards & Crafts. Background paper is from Forever Friends Pink Parfait. Other paper and flowers are from craftworkcards, sentiment from papermania and lots of sparkly!
