Less is More - Paper Piecing

Saturday is here again and time for another challenge at Less is More.  This weeks it's paper piecing, not really done much of this and what I have done was quiet some time ago now.
The image is from a Dottie collection from Charmed Cards & Crafts, not used these images for ages and I have paper pieced this one before but it was placed on lots of layers with lots of embelishments, so wondered what it would look like as a CAS card and I am quiet pleased with it.

Well thats about it for today, had a busy morning spring cleaning the bedrooms, bit late I know but they were getting desperate, don't know how my kids manage to accumulate so much junk.

Have a great weekend and thank you for popping by :)

I made the Kenny K design team!!!

Well finally I can let folks know that I made it on to Kenny K's design team, can't believe it to be honest as there is some amazing talent out there.  I officially start from 1st July and really looking forward to this new challenge.  The Kenny K blog is having a name change and a new address so make sure you start following the new blog :)

Anyway after that exciting news I thought I would have a go at this weeks Kenny K challenge, which is to use at least 10 gems and glitter.  Used the fab All That and coloured her with promarkers and copics.  Added some glitter and of course some gems.  Paper is from DCWV and other bits and pieces from my stash.
Thank you for stopping by and dont forget to join the new Kenny K blog.

Less is More - Shiny

Well it's Saturday again and it has done nothing but rain again, had to put the heating on again, when are we going to get some sunshine!!!!

The less is More challenge this week is something shiny.  I was initially going with something silver, but changed my mind as always :)

Used a spellbinder to cut an oval into the card and used the cut out piece to stamp a kanban sentiment and emboss in gold and stuck it to the inside of the card.  Cut out some gold leaves and added a kanban flower & butterfly.
Hope everyone was having a fab weekend and thank you for stopping by :)

P.s sorry Loli here it is, had my pc wiped and re-installed so was waiting for photo editing software to be put back on.  All back to normal now though hehe :)

Less is More - One Layer

Well it's Saturday again and time for another Less is More challenge which this week is one layer.  Now these don't scare quiet as much as they used to but I still struggled as what to do.  I did originaly start doing some stamping and embossing but it wasn't doing much for me.

Ended up just using an embossing folder and added a bit of stamping, think it would look better with a ribbon and a bow but as it's one layer dont think they would be allowed hehe.
Hope everyone is having a fab weekend and haven't got to wet or blown away, have had to put the heating on again today, can't believe it is June!

Thanks for popping by :)

Kenny K - Pearls

What happend to our gorgeous weather?  As soon as we get a bank holiday it rains!  Oh well gave me time to do some more crafting.

This weeks Kenny K challenge is PEARLS.  Coloured Vikki Lee Vicious a while ago with Promarkers & Copics but hadn't made her into a card.  So thought I would get her finished.
The paper is from DCWV and I have used flowers from WOC, a MS punch and not sure what the leaf die is.  There is also a little guitar charm and of course some pearls.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and thank you for stopping by :)

Less is More - Red, White & Blue

Long weekend has finally arrived, kids packed off to their dads and I have sat and watched films and played with bits of paper and felts all day..................heaven!

Really don't know why I put myself through the Less is More challenge each week as I struggle with it every time and this week has been no exception.  The challenge is to use red, white & blue, which I actually did last week for the shaped card.  As I watched Barbara Gray this morning I thought I would play with some of my Clarity stamps again although not that keen on my creation.
As usual I have my rejects, will no doubt be used some other time.  Have not been able to pull anything together today but still have enjoyed playing :)
Hope everyone is having a fab Jubilee weekend and thank you for stopping by :)
