Red Challenge

Dottie's World are running an anything goes - red challenge with a fantastic magnolia stamp as a prize! I have admired these stamps for a while but as yet have not purchased any (may have to put a couple on my christmas list :) )

Anyway wasn't sure what image to use for this challenge, I knew I wanted to use a Charmed image but which one. I ended up downloading their new collection called Santa's Little Helpers and I'm really glad I did as they are all just gorgeous. I used All Wrapped Up and coloured her with promarkers and then got stuck with what papers to use, I just couldn't get anything to work. I ended up just putting her in the middle of a blank white card in frustration to look at it later and thought that works! So ended up going all white :) Hope you like her.

Am also going to enter this card into the Creative Inspirations Challenge as they want anything Christmassy/Winter :)

Thank you for stopping by and dont forget to leave a comment as I love reading them :

Autumn

I am so late with this card for the I ♥ Promarkers challenge, just do not know where the weeks are going. This week the challenge is Autumn, which I struggle with as I just dont have bits and pieces in autumn colours, well I thought I didn't, managed to find some ribbon, flowers and some orange gems :)
Used one of the lovelly images from Charmed Cards and Crafts from the girls about town collection and coloured her with promarkers. Am also entering this card into the Dottie's World challenge, which is for anything goes. Couldn't enter their challenge though without using one of their fab images :)

Thank you for stopping by today :)

The Great Outdoors

This week over at Dotties World the challenge is to make a card with an outdoor theme. So after spending the weekend in the garden as it had been so lovelly, when I actually got round to making this card it was pouring down with rain!

I used Holly in the Garden for this card from the Holly & Madison collection and coloured her with promarkers. The papers are from English Paper Company (I couldnt resist going back to Osbornes and buying a few more of the £1.99 bargains). The sentiment is from Create with TLC. Thank you for stopping by :)

Manly with a twist

This week over at Dottie's World, Adele wants a manly card and the twist being it had to have ribbon.

Most of the cards I make for my boys usually include a bit of ribbon, so here is a card I made for my sons 16th this year......

Used the fantastic Mikey coloured as always with promarkers and copics, papers were a freebie with a magazine from a while ago (am a magazine addict so no clue what magazine it was) and the rest of the bits are from the stash.

Lets go to the movies

The challenge this week over at Dottie's World was to use a Charmed Crafts download and relate it to a movie. Well this had me stumped so had to ask my other half for help and he actually gave me loads of ideas. I ended up going with Mary Poppins and 'Lets go fly a kite'.

I hope you like her.................
A very simple card just using one of the girls from the Sugar and Spice collection and just a few bits and pieces from the stash.

That Summer Feeling

The challenge this week over at Dottie's World is to make a summery card but something different than you would usually make......pretty much everything I'm making at the moment is different :)

I love this image of Dottie and George getting married and have wanted to use the reverse of this image for a while. A work colleague had asked if I could make a card for her son to give to his brother on their wedding day (which was Saturday) so this is what I made............
Used the pre-coloured image from the Love & Marriage collection - papers were a freebie with a magazine. Sunburst image is from Istockphoto. Flowers, gems and ribbon from the stash, sentiment from TLC. Used acetate to cover the circle cut from the middle of the card.

And here is the inside...........
This is the first card I have made for someone else to give and apparently brother, bride and groom were chuffed and I got a bottle of wine for making it :)
Thank you once again for a fab challenge.

Vintage Style

The Sunday challenge set by Gunn over at Dotties World was for Vintage Style. Wasn't sure if I could do vintage but here's my attempt.
Used one of the very pretty Sugar and Spice girls and coloured her with promarkers - think I need to look at using a different paper for printing the images on to as I am getting bleed issues especially with the darker colours. Papers are from K&Company that I have had for absolutely years and have never known what to use them for. Paper roses from stash, which were actually white and coloured them with promarkers.
I even did an inside for this card inspired by Karen (which is why I didnt post last night - took longer than expected :))
Sentiment is from TLC

Thank you for a fab challenge, I am actually making cards now just because I can rather than having someone in mind. Plus I am getting to use alot of my stash that I have been collecting for years and not really making the most of :)

Hot it Up!

I am so late with this again! Another challenge from Dottie's World where they wanted to see HOT colours.

I hope this is hot enoughUsed one of the fab images from Holy & Madison World Tour collection and used the paper piecing again from last week and coloured her with copics. Papers were a freebie with a scrapbooking magazine. Made a couple of quilled orange roses. Text is from Create with TLC (what a fantastic site that is) and added the must have sparkle. The orange roses have been glittered as well but i dont think it shows to well in the photo. (Have given my fella the challenge of taking photos of my cards and still show the sparkle!)

Thank you for yet another brill challenge. Am now off to look at this weeks challenge although i'm not sure I can do vintage, but I will give it ago.

No Designer Papers

Ok I know I am a little late as this was last weeks challenge, no clue where the week has gone! Anyway the challenge last week at Dottie's World was to make a card using no designer papers.

This WAS a challenge for me as I have never attempted anything like this before as I usually just head straight to my stash of ready designed papers. So thank you for the challenge.

Here is my CardUsed a stencil I found to make the flowery background with yellow and orange ink and added some sparkly gems. Used a poem I found on the internet. The image is from the Sugar and Spice collection at Charmed Cards & Crafts and coloured with Promarker's. Flowers are from WHSmith.

Father's Day again

Ok am very new to this so please go easy on me :)

Have already posted this card once on here but wasn't sure if it needed to be posted seperatly for the challenge Made this card for my boys to give their dad for his birthday but could be used for Father's Day also. Coloured with Copic's and Promarkers, which I am still trying to master.

Made this card for my dad last year for Father's Day using water colour pencils, papers from DCWV travel stack. Not made his card for this year yet!
