Lavender & Lace

This week at I ♥ Promarkers the challenge is Lavender & Lace. Haven't got much lace and the piece I decided to use must be the hardest piece to stick and to stick on to!! Pinflair glue came into it's own on this card although I did get into a bit of a mess with it.
Followed another great sketch at Friday Sketchers and the image is from Sarah Kay and this is the first time I have used it on a card. Coloured with promarkers, but I did use Tim Holts distress ink to colour his dungarees, first time I have used that method and pretty pleased with the result. Paper was a freebie with a magazine, butterfly punch - MS and LOTV sentiment.

Had a fab time last week visiting everybody who had entered the I ♥ Promarkers challenge, had some fab new people join my blog, which I really appreciate, so off now to do some blog hopping :)

Whats on Your Workdesk? Wednesday 86

Well I had a great weekend crafting and managed to enter a few challanges and did a fair bit of blog hopping. I did resist tidying up some of my desk for this weeks pic and my crafting mat is covered with circles that I cut in varying sizes, colours as I just couldnt get the Kenny K card right (the blue one in the pic)Have been experimenting with some stamps that I haven't used before, I love the Sarah Kay stamp, might re do that one in lavender for the I ♥ Promarkers challenge this week. My Quick Cards magazine came today with some free pretty pink papers, oop and you can just see my glass of wine - had a couple of busy days at work - i'm allowed hehe :)

Anyway if you want to check out more desks visit Julia at Stamping Ground, but be warned it's addicitive, i'm determined one of these weeks I will get around everyones!!

Kenny K #29

Can't believe I have got this Kenny-K card made in one day and entering into the challenge the same day it is released, I usually enter an hour before it closes hehe.
Had this image a while, but this is the first time I have used her and she was a joy to colour in. She is called Troublemaker from Kenny-K and she is mainly coloured with promarkers. Papers are printed from My Craft Studio called All About Words, first time I have used these as well and the flowers are from Wild Orchid.
Thank you for dropping by and don't forget to leave a comment as I love to read them :)

Magic Numbers

Well this is my third post today!! I'm on fire hehe. Have just spent a lot of time blog hopping and had a fantastic time visiting some wonderful blogs out there and seeing some stunning creations.

I never thought I would use this card in a challenge, but I was keen to support Alison, who's blog I have followed for a while, she has been asked to be a guest designer at Charisma Cardz. So over I popped to see what their challenge is for this week and you guessed it they want a card with numbers on :) I gave this card to my nephew the other week for his birthday, took me forever to come up with it as I just didn't know what to make for an 18 year old boy ( I have 7 nephews and 3 sons, so I think this card design will keep reappearing - hehe). I used Word to make the 18 template to cut the edge of the card and used silver peel offs and silver stars that I have had forever.

Anyway I think that has got to be enough blogging for one night, time for bed :)

** Edited - Thanks to Alison, I'm going to enter this card into another couple of challenges, don't know how she finds them all! hehe

Allsorts - Male/Boy
Creative Card Crew - For men

White on White

I love making all white cards and this one was really quick and easy to make, which was a relief after the Kenny K card I have just made!
Used a lovely freebie image from Bugaboo Stamps and coloured her with promarkers. Paper is a plain white pearl paper cut with Marianne die, flower punch and a piece run through the cuttlebug with an embossing folder and a few gems............simple :)

Entering her into:
I ♥ Promarkers - Keep it Sweet & Simple
Cutie Stampers - White
Catch the Bug - Winter White
Sketchy Colours - White
Creative Craft Challenges - Monochromatic
Crafts and Me - Monochrome

Got Alison to thank for all the challenges, she enters her cards into loads, i only ever normally do two! :)

Kenny K & a sketch

Oh my this card for some reason has taken me forever to put together! I have cut out so many circles in so many different combinations of blue, silver and white and to be honest I am still not overly happy with the end product................. anyway...............

Kenny K's challenge is for blue, white and silver, which I thought would be really easy as I love using those colours and followed a fab sketch over at Friday Sketchers.
Have used the fab Harley Ryder and coloured her with copics & promarkers, die cuts are from Marianne and nestie circles, papers are bits and pieces I found in a box. Not sure where the sentiment came from, I have got a folder full of them that I have downloaded from somewhere hehe.

Right need to get this post on the Kenny K site before the challenge closes, left it soooo late again hehe.

Happy Birthday Bugaboo

Bugaboo are celebrating their first birthday and they have got a challenge for everyday this week. Monday's challenge is blue & white and yes I know it's Wednesday so am a bit late but they have given us until Saturday to get all the challenges in :)

Have used the fab Gus for this card, which I brought the other day, Bugaboo have got 60% off all their digis this week, so he only cost me about 70p - bargain!
Coloured with promarkers, paper was a freebie with a magazine and the ribbon I thnk was from the Works.

Off to try and get Tuesdays (free digi from Bugaboo to use) and todays challenge (follow a sketch) started so I dont fall any further behind :)

WOYWW - 85

I cannot believe how quick the weeks are going, we are nearly at the end of January already! I was hoping to have a slightly messier desk for you all this week and on Monday it was looking pretty untidy after making the couple of cards that are on my desk over the weekend, but as I started the next couple of cards, I started putting things away as I was getting other bits out, I just can't help myself!
Oh well, here is my tidyish desk again for you this week, Bugaboo stamps are celebrating their first birthday and have had all sorts of things going on over there this week, have so far only managed to do the blog hop and make a birthday card, which you can see better here, have just got to finish putting the other card together for their blue and white challenge and I have printed out a couple more of their images to colour in which I can hopefully use in the rest of their challenges this week.

Made the Valentines card for the Kenny K challenge, which you can see better here, and was busy colouring another Kenny K image in for their blue, white & silver challenge this week.
Also on my desk is a new cd called 'The Wine buffs' which I brought off Create & Craft last week, took it in to work today and printed off lots of the papers, can't wait to have ago with them.

I thought this week I would show you a bit further round my desk, not really all that exciting, photo printer on the shelf, which I dont use all that often and my pc with lots of cables going on underneath the desk, hmmm and lots of magazines.
Have a fab week all you WOYWWers and if your not a WOYWWer pop over to the Stamping Ground and join in with the fun!

Happy Birthday Bugaboo

Bugaboo Stamps are celebrating their first Birthday and they have got some amazing things going on over there all week with some fab prizes.

Took part in their blog hop yesterday, which took me forever, but was so worth it their DT have come up with some fantastic ideas one of my favorites was Melissa's banner, but everybodies are brill and all well worth a look :)

Any way this first challenge is to make a project with a birthday theme. I'm afraid I have been pretty boring and made a birthday card.
Have used the fab JJ and coloured her with promarkers and copics and added some sparkle to her boa. Used some very pretty paper from Forever Friends, which I have machine stitched, this is my first attempt at using my sewing machine on a card, wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be :) The lilac flower is from the Pound shop and the other flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Sentiment is from LOTV and have used my fab new nesties to cut circles.

I will do an inside for this card and will be using it for a friend at work who's birthday is the end of this month.

Looking forward to the rest of the challenges from Bugaboo, just hoping I get the chance to have ago at them all :)

Thank you for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment as I love reading them xx

Baby Girl

This week at I ♥ Promarkers the challenge is to use punches. Got this idea from the Whiff of Joy Inspiration blog. Have made variations of this card a few times over the past year in blue and pink, staff at work have been producing lots of babies!!
Can't remember where I got the image from but the file is called DDs Sleeping Infant and I love it! Have coloured her with promarkers and surrounded her with lots of punched flowers. The large daisy is from Woodware and the small daisy is from Xcut. The other flower is from EK and I use this punch all the time. Leaf punch is from Martha Stewart. The heart border punch I have had for years and no clue where that came from and the Swirl is from Marianne Design......phew
The senitment is from Charmed Cards & Crafts from their Once upon a Time collection.
Thank you for stopping by :)

Love You

Finally managed to get a card finished for a challenge! Kenny K's challenge is 'Love You' and followed a fab sketch from Friday Sketchers.
I love these Kenny K images and have used Devastatia for this card coloured with Promarkers and Copics.
Made this card into an easel with a twist, which I saw on Create and Craft last week. The hearts are from Crafty Bits, which I glittered and then covered with 3D gloss. Papers are a mixture of printed from a Debbi Moore Cd, some black and white paper which I coloured with Promarkers to match the image and some plain pink card which I stamped with a swirly stamp. The flowers are from the Pound shop.
Thank you for stopping by :)

WOYWW 84

Check out all the fab workdesks at the Stamping Ground and see if yours is as messy or tidy as all those desks out there around the world!

Took this photo last night before we all headed out for a meal to celebrate my nephews 18th birthday, hence the card you can see on my desk :) Also had to make a quick card for a work colleague, whos birthday was today and I was only told yesterday, luckily had already got a LOTV image coloured in so didn't take to long to put the card together.

Started colouring in a Kenny K image on Sunday to enter their challenge 'Love You' but that is as far as I have got. Will hopefully have it finished before the challenge closes on Saturday!!

Hopefully my desk is a bit messier this week, have been told my workspace is way to tidy hehe, so am determined not to put anything away until I have a photo of a very very messy desk!

Off now to try and finish some cards for a few challenges, which so far this year I haven't managed to enter one! Will try and visit some of your fab workspaces, would love to get round everyones but there is already 135!! and our internet at work isn't working so can't even blog hop during my lunch break, it's like being cut off from the outside world!! only good thing is no email hehe

Have a fab week all xx

WOYWW - 5th Jan 2011

Well I tidied all my desk up on New Years Day, I have only ever shown WOYWWers a little section as the rest of the desk was an absolute mess, but not any more! :) On the left, out of sight, is my sewing machine, which I have not long got down from the loft and still haven't used in cardmaking and to the right is my pc - will try and get a wider photo another time and preferably in the day light hehe.
Haven't done much crafting since Christmas, apart from making a new baby card for a work colleague who had a girl on the 28th December. Have been playing with all my new die's I had for Christmas and finally my ek circle cutter arrived, which I should have had for my birthday in November, which the post man delivered on 2nd January!! Have also been playing with my new Serif digital scrapbook artist 2, oh my god I can't belive how much stuff you can get for it, totally mind boggling, the possibilities are endless. Got some fab clear stamps called Molly Blooms with my Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine yesterday, looking forward to having ago with them.

Wishing everyone a great New Year with lots of crafting :)

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment as I love reading them :)
