Off Centre

Over at Less is More this week the challenge is Off Centre. Still trying to master this style of card and as I have now brought myself a new printer I created this card in photoshop (still trying to master that as well hehe) using a fab butterfly brush.
Coloured the butterflies with promarkers and added some silver sparkle to the butterfly trails (damn difficult to photograph!) The font is Young Love that Mandi used a few challanges ago and I just had to have :)

Have I mastered it this week? Will have to wait for comments from Mandi and Chrissie, I have my fingers crossed :)

No Designer Papers

Well I didn't intend to use this card for the I ♥ Promarkers challenge, but Alison said it would fit in well as it is No Designer Papers this week.
I kept this card very clean and simple, and if you want to see more if this style check out the Less is More blog cause oh boy their cards are a challenge, well they are for me, hehe.

The image is from Mo and coloured with promarkers and just mounted on some dark blue card and the edge coloured with silver pen. I edged the main card with blue and silver pen and added some silver stars and the sentiment is from Butterfly Kisses and thats it.

Got a few days off now, so hoping to get a few cards made and a bit of blogging :)

Whats On Your Workdesk Wednesday? 99

Well it has been a while since I joined in with the WOYWWers, but thought I would give you all a quick peek and I spent the weekend tidying up ALL my craft space, even under the desk! hehe

Brought a great carousel storage unit from Create & Craft the other week, was only £13.50 and there were lots of embelishments in the draws and free p&p was well chuffed, should have brought two though, oh well. Have also put some new storage box draws on the wall, well I say new I pinched them off one of my boys and repainted them, there is another set somewhere in one of their bedrooms so may pinch them as well :)
Have also been making a few cards, one at the back is for a friend at work, golfer card is for my partners brother and then one for my son and all thier birthdays are tomorrow so best get a move on and finish them!! :)

Pop over to Julia's place if you want to catch up with some more fab workdesks from around the globe :)

Acetate

Have finally managed to get 5 minutes to myself! Work has been so busy have ended up working 15 hour days!! Got four days off now though but am torn between card making and pottering in the garden. Actually started this post an hour ago and got side tracked weeding round the strawberries :)

Anyway I made this card a few days ago but have only just managed to post it. The challenge at Less is More is to use acetate, well this sent me into a mild panic, had no clue what to do, I have no inks that work on acetate. I was going down a slightly different route with this card and had an image of Calla Lillys coloured in, which would have worked just as well but decided it was a bit sympathy card ish so used this fab ladybug instead from Digi Doodle's
The image is coloured with promarkers and cut out. I cut a circle in the centre of the card with my nesti and then embossed it and put some embossing around the edges of the card. Ran the acetate through my cuttlebug with the dots embossing folder and placed it behind the cut out circle. Found a random stamp, no clue where that came from hehe, and stamped directly onto the card (that was a scary moment hehe) and added a couple of black gems and then stepped away from the card before I started adding anything else :)

Sorry this is so late, but look forward to reading any comments, apologies for not making round any cards this week but work has been hell. Fingers crossed for a quiter week next week :)

Easter

This week at I ♥ Promarkers the challenge is Easter. I didn't really have any Easter images so popped over to Mo's and brought this little beauty this morning :) She is coloured with promarkers and cut out with a nestie. The paper I have no idea what it is as it was given to me by a friend ages ago. Made the ticket sentiment as I couldnt find anything that just said Happy Easter. Some of the flowers are from The Hobby House and others are from my stash. The charm is from Crafty Bitz. Hope you have all had a great weekend and managed to sit in the sun :) (Why can I not get blogger to put my text into paragraphs any more? Even editing the code makes no difference)

Less is More 10

I just had to have another go at the Less is More challenge, the cards over on that blog are amazing, but I struggle so much with this style of card. This weeks challenge is for one layer with a sentiment being the focus. I spent ages trying to find some words, which are from Create with TLC, and printed it directly onto the card. Had to use not such good quality card as my printer for some reason doesn't like my nice card (really need to get a new one). The image is also from Create with TLC and I added just a bit of colour with my promarkers. Used a die to create the border around the words.

And thats about it. Still not sure about this card, is it missing something? I really love this style but still not sure I can pull it off. I will persevere and looking forward to the next challenge.

Sweet Stampin Sketch

It is been quiet a while since I have made any cards. Managed to hurt my shoulder last weekend (slept funny I think) and couldn't move without it causing me pain, but two massages and a lot of pain killers, it's not to bad now. Anyway started making this card this morning for my sister, have a lot of birthdays in April, had coloured the image but didn't know what layout to use so decided to check out the blogs for some inspiration and my wonderful bloggin pal Alison came to the rescue hehe. She is on the DT for Sweet Stampin and their challenge this week is a fab sketch. Used a fab image from Bugaboo and coloured her with promarkers. Papers are from g.c.d (gave up on the other paperpack Alison) and the flowers I brought from the Hobbycraft show the other week, they were only between 30p and 50p a pack but not sure what store they were from. Have a fab weekend :)
