Less is More - Sketch

Well it is pouring down with rain, so hopefully the snow will all be gone by tomorrow.  I love it when it has first fallen but after week it just starts looking untidy and dirty and I live in a grove where the road was just a sheet of ice!

On to this weeks Less is More, which this week is a sketch.
This is another stamp that I brought a while a go and have not got round to using and it took forever to colour!  The stamp is by Michael Powell and I have a couple of these, still unused hehe.
This one took 5 minutes to colour, just using different shades of blue promarkers and the chisel end.
Not sure which one I like best, what do you think?

Hope you are having a fab weekend and thank you for stopping by :)

Kenny K - Vintage

What a lovely relaxing weekend, haven't had to go anywhere and not wanted to with the weather and the boys have been at their dads all weekend and are not back until later this evening, so had a lovely time watching films and crafting.

On to the Kenny K challenge which this week is VINTAGE.
I do love this sophisticated lady and loved using these colours, she is coloured with promarkers and added sparkle and liquid pearls although cant see the sparkle to well in the photo.  The papers are called Victoria and Albert, which I found buried in cupboard and have never used!

Do pop over to the Kenny K blog and check out the rest of the design teams cards and why not have a go yourself. :)

Less is More - Friends

Well we got some snow! Went into work early Friday morning thinking, this isn't to bad, but the snow did not stop and by midday was hearing horror stories about the roads and that Birmingham city center was gridlocked!  Managed to get out of work around 3pm and after sitting in traffic hardly moving for 30 minutes I managed to turn onto a road heading away from town  and it then didn't take me long to get home at all.

So after that harrowing car journey I have stayed in all day today, watching films and just had Chinese for tea.

I did make a quick card for the Less is More challenge, which this week is friends.
This stamp is from a collection I have got from Docrafts called Wellington and this is it's first time out.  Coloured with copics and mounted onto a piece of Kraft card, although can't see it to well in this pic.  Have seen quiet a few cards recently just using strips of coloured or patterned card and thought I would give this style a bit of a go and also gives me chance to use up scrap pieces of card I have been keeping in a box forever.

Hope everyone is having a fab weekend and keeping warm and safe :)

Less is More - One Layer

Time for just one more post and its still snowing, not much mind and it is such fine snow it looks like glitter falling in the lamp light.  Don't think it will be enough for us to have a snow day tomorrow hehe.

Have not entered a Less is More challenge for a few weeks now but as it is one layer week I decided I must have a go at this one.  The theme is sport or exercise so was going to use a flower soft stamp of a little boy with his cricket bat.
Didn't quiet work out as planned, managed to stamp it beautifully on to my test paper and failed twice to get a good print onto my nice card stock and wasn't prepared to waste any more so I ended up just using the cricket stumps from the same set.  Very simple, coloured with Prismas and the sentiment added again from the same set.

Not all that sure about this one, maybe a little to simple but it's getting late and I really need to be getting off to bed, may try and persevere with my original idea tomorrow, but for now I wish you all a goodnight and happy dreams :)

Inky Chicks - Anything Goes

Back again, don't think I have ever done so many posts in one day and it is now snowing!!

There is a brand new challenge blog called Inky Chicks which I totally forgot about so thought I would enter a quick card and oh wow you should see all the entries over there.

Used a gorgeous Saturated Canary image and coloured her with copics.  The paper is from First Edition and a lovely Cheery Lynn die.

Well that should be it for today.  Thank you for stopping by :)

Joanna Sheen - New Beginnings

Sunday night again, where does the weekend go and still no snow!  Not done much this weekend, had a bit of a family get together at my sisters as it was my nehpews birthday and had a nice Sunday dinner and now have been watching dancing on ice and doing a bit of blogging :)

Saw this challenge on the lovely Alison's blog and thought I would give it a go.  Not entered a Joanna Sheen one before and I have some of her lovely project books so will be keeping an eye on this blog for inspiration and may be show off a few cards.

Anyway the challenge is New Beginnings and I made this card just after Christmas for my other half's sister who had a baby girl on 19th December.
This is a LOTV image coloured with promarkers a few liquid pearls and some stickles.  Kept the card very simple using First Edition Paper called Love Letters with a bit of stitching and just a bit of ribbon.  The sentiment is also LOTV.

Hope everyone has had a fab weekend and thank you for popping by :)
