Kenny K, Dotty and a Sketch
Oh my gosh two posts in one night, I'm on fire hehe!! Started this card on Saturday for the I ♥ Promarkers (Go Dotty) and Friday Sketchers Challenge and somehow I managed to make it fit the Kenny K Challenge (use aquamarine) Used the fab Bling Baby from Kenny K and coloured her with promarkers, papers are from an old pack by 7gypsies, the ribbon was actually white but used my promarkers to colour it to match her trousers, MS punch and LOTV sentiment and label. Made this card for a friend at work and didn't think I would use any of my new stash I brought on Friday from the NEC, but I used my new Tim Holtz destress ink, Broken China for the edges added my new liquid pearls for her beads and on her glasses and all the flowers are new oh and the actual card is a from a new pack of 8 x 8 cards which I just love :) Hope you like her :)
Less is More week 8 & Hobbycraft Show
Well I admit I have been a terrible blogger over the last week or so, work is very hectic at the moment so card making & blogging have had to take a bit of a back seat. I did manage to get Friday off though to go to the Hobbycraft show at the NEC, which I will tell you about a bit further down. Anyway now for the card, through my blogging pal Alison, I found a fantastic blog by Katina, her cards are amazing and all clean and simple, so I thought I would give one of the challenges a go that she enters. For this card I followed the sketch over at Less is More, what an amazing place this is as well, opend my eyes to a whole new style of card. I used a flower stamp, which I coloured with promarkers and cut out, piece of ribbon and a stamped sentiment and thats it. Simple, or so you would think, how hard is it not to get the gems out, the sparkle out, the pretty edge punches, had to take a photo of it quick before I added anything else hehe. I really enjoyed making this card and will definatley be giving this style of card another go. I hope you like it :) Now on to the NEC this is all my lovelly new bits and pieces I brought, had a fantastic day, never been to anything like that before and loved it. Never seen so many crafty bits all in one place and to be honest it was a bit over whelming and if I went again, which I probably will, I would go over two days and spend a day just looking and the next day buying and joining in some of the demonstrations. I saw lots of the lovelly people from Create and Craft and my all time favourite Barbara from Clarity Stamps, although I was to shy to even say hello, but I did buy my first ever Clarity Stamp and will hopefully make something with that very soon :) Hope you all had a great weekend and dont forget to leave a comment as I love to read them :)

Friday Sketchers
Finally managed to make a card, don't know why I have had such a tough time making cards lately, but when I finally pulled this one together I really enjoyed making it.
Followed the fab sketch over at Friday Sketchers and used a lovely LOTV image that my wonderful blogging pal Rosie stamped up and sent me. She is coloured with Promarkers and I have added a bit of glitter. Papers are from my new Polkadoodles cd called sugar birdies. Orange roses and buds were given to me by another wonderful lady i know through work and the others I think came from Hobbycraft. Have also added some stitching and beading :)

Babies & A Sketch
This week at I ♥ Promarkers the theme is babies. Have had this image for ages from Charmed Cards & Crafts. Got a little frustrated trying to colour her hair so ended up paper piecing it and used promarkers to add the shading. The babies blanket is also paper pieced again shading with promarkers.
Followed another great sketch from Friday Sketchers and used papers from Paper Cellar. Machine stitched all the layers and decided to add some beads which I have seen the fabulous Alison do many times on her cards. My only problem was I couldn't find a needle slim enough to thread the beads so had to keep taking off the needle adding the bead and then re threading the needle so only did one corner! Added some hand made flowers and some glittered Marianne dies :)

What's On your Workdesk? Wednesday 92
Oh boy what a week, can not believe it's Wednesday again and I have been such a terrible WOWWer, don't think I made it round any desks last week! I promise to try harder. Work has been so very busy and intense, I can usually do a bit of blogging during lunch but have not even had chance to do that!
Anyway my desk this week is looking some what untidy, well may be not from this photo, but I am only showing you a little bit :) Printed out some Kenny K's yesterday, not to sure what I am going to do with them at the mo, card on the left I am making for my mom as it's her birthday on Saturday. Can't remember where the image came from, but first saw it on the amazing Christines's blog a while ago and have used her colours to colour the image (hope she doesn't mind)
Another amazing blogger pal, Rosie, sent me some stamped LOTV (as I only have a couple) which I received in the post today. Thank you hun, I will pop over and thank you personally :)
I also received in the post today my first ever Polkadoodle's cd, will be taking that in to work tomorrow to print off some papers hehe and I also got a free paper pack with my magazine. So plenty to keep me going for a while. Oh and top left my lovely mother has been makig me little crochet flowers, not used any yet, should really try and fit some on her card hehe.
Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday and if you fancy having a nosy at some other fantastic work desks pop of to Julia's fab blog!

Green, Purple & a Sketch
Struggled a bit with this card, I like purple just not sure about the green. Rach has done a fantastic sketch over at Friday Sketchers but not sure I have done that justice either hehe
Used the gorgeous Devilish Donna from Kenny K. Forgot I was making this card for the I ♥ Promarkers challenge and coloured her hair with copics, tsk, but the rest of her is coloured with promarkers. The main papers are from a really old pack from Paper Adventures, sentiment is from TLC and flower from the Pound Shop :)
Have a great Saturday :)

Whats on Your Workdesk Wednesday? 91
Very quick post tonight, missed this last week so was determind to get a post in tonight. If you have read my 'About me' you will know I am an on-line gamer and as there was an expansion last Tuesday have been kind of tied up playing in a virtual world hehe. Anyway back to my desk and as you can see it's full :) I know someone at work that used to own a sewing shop many years ago in the city centre, which she sold, and she has been clearing out her house and found some of her old stock she had kept but no longer has any use for. We just happend to be chatting the other week and we got onto card making, which I said I was doing and she said she would bring me some bits in. Look what she brought me in today - lots of blank cards and envelopes in all sorts of differnt colours and textures, a pile of cross stitch canvas again in different colours, weaves and some is even sparkly and a bag of bits including that lovelly metalic thread. I am so thrilled, am going to have to make her a lovelly thank you card :)
Have a fab Wednesday all, will try and get round a few desks but life is a little full at the mo, even work is busy, which eats into my blogging time hehe. If you havent seen Julia's blog yet nip over and go check out the fabby desks out there :)
