Less is More 10

I just had to have another go at the Less is More challenge, the cards over on that blog are amazing, but I struggle so much with this style of card. This weeks challenge is for one layer with a sentiment being the focus. I spent ages trying to find some words, which are from Create with TLC, and printed it directly onto the card. Had to use not such good quality card as my printer for some reason doesn't like my nice card (really need to get a new one). The image is also from Create with TLC and I added just a bit of colour with my promarkers. Used a die to create the border around the words.

And thats about it. Still not sure about this card, is it missing something? I really love this style but still not sure I can pull it off. I will persevere and looking forward to the next challenge.

For me this card would have worked without the image of the books and with the sentiment centralised on the front of the card.
I really like the embossing but again with its size compared to the card size I think that it would have been better in the centre.
I don't know if this is why you're not 100% happy with it... it is fine as is, but I think it maybe might be improved with just a little tweak!
What do you think?

Love the sentiment - I can think of any number of teenagers would would agree with that!!

You say you're not sure about the card, well I think Chrissie's comment is right! Maybe a rework and repost? :)

Now, I'm off to rework the card I've just made as it's a CAS and the central design is not in the centre. Darn!! Hey, ho!

Great Sentiment!! I know a few teens who would agree wholeheartedly with this sentiment! LOL! If you're like the rest of us, when your card is telling you somethings not right, you'll probably re-do it!

Great stamp - uumm thinking with you...I would leave out the embossing as the frame is classic and the stamp is modern. I would maybe try it without the books and go for a snazzy bright colour...and different inks on different card stock. Maybe green or red on Kraft stock...The words are also your image and focal point with this stamp. Hope this helps...just suggestions.
happy crafting!

Hi Suzilou :) Hope you managed to get some good online gaming in too!... Now them missus, I've just ordered myself The Sims Medieval! ;) My dad has it already, and so I have to get it to play him online lol!

Love your card, there isnt anything missing on it at all, I just think this style is so very different from any other that your perspective gets skewed when you compare it to other stuff.

Its brilliant and whats more I love your embossed panel and the sentiment. I tried, I really, really, really tried to do a LIM card last week - you should see my bin with just a splash of red - indeed! :D I wasted more card, more time and more ink and never managed to produce a card at all! lol.

I lost your email addy btw buddy, so I'm afraid Im filling up your comments lately! ;)

hugs
