Less is More - Sketch

A bit late this week with the Less is More challenge, had to work Saturday morning and then was out for a meal on the evening so didn't get much time for crafting.

This weeks challenge is a sketch, which I think is brilliant, it's so versitile and there are some amazing creations already submitted. This is week 52 for Mandi & Chrissie and may I say what a great year it has been, have loved this challenge and look forward to it every week. Mandi & Chrissie are so dedicated and visit and comment on every card!

This week I got out my Clarity balloon stamps and even though I always struggle with one layer, I kept this card one layer! The ballons are coloured with Prismas, which I am still learning how to use, did a bit of sponging for the background and embossed lines down the edge of the image. The sentiment is from LOTV and stamped direct onto the card! :)

A massive thank you to Mandi & Chrissie for these fantastic challenges week after week and here's to the next 52 weeks :)

Sweet Stampin - White on White

Very quick post tonight as I am soooo late with this challenge over at Sweet Stampin'. Have been trying to get this card finished all week , but one thing or another has got in the way.
White on white is one of my favourites, but not overly sure about this card, don't think I like her hair colour and maybe I should have gone for more vivid colours in the image. Anyway it's an LOTV image and used all sort of dies and embossing folders, lots of sparkle (although that was difficult to photograph) and some gems.

Would say thank god it's Friday but have to work again tomorrow, so roll on next weekend hehe :)

I ♥ Promarkers - Pink & Purple

Well I am trying to have a go at using stamps that have not yet seen an ink pad and stamped up this beauty from LOTV the other day and coloured her in with promarkers, and lucky for me it fits in with the I ♥ Promarkers challenge which this week is Pink & Purple.
The paper is from Forever Friends and used various dies for flowers and leaves. Added lots of glitter to the image and did do a bit of shading with my prismas.

Less is More - Cut it Out

Well another Saturday nearly over, weekends go way to fast and I had to work today so a little late getting a card made for the Less is More challenge. This week the theme is Cut it Out, Chrissie and Mandi want to see some sort of aperture.
Not really made aperture cards before, but quite enjoyed this one. Cut 4 squares into the front of a tall slim card, not perfect would have prefered to use a square die cut, but haven't got a square one..................yet! Attached a piece of vellum onto the inside of the card and added 4 coloured squares and made some quilled flowers.

I ♥ Promarkers - Anything Goes

Good evening bloggers, hope you are all having a fab week. The weekend is nearly here, although I am working Saturday so not much of a weekend for me.

Thought I would have a go at the I ♥ Promarkers challenge this week, which is anything goes. Never seem to manage this challenge these days, but as I had already got this card made I thought I would enter it :)
Used a gorgeous image from LOTV, that my lovely blogging friend Rosie sent me :) and coloured her with Promarkers. The sentiment is also LOTV and papers are from a Foreverfriends pack with a bit of stitching around the edges. Added some flowers and metal charms and a bit of bling.

Less is More - Birds take 2

Well had another go at this weeks Less is More challenge. Still struggling to make this style work, maybe its the birds that are throwing me!
This card is all Clarity, like the idea but think its a little too plain, should have done it a bit more like the JOY card I did for another challenge.

Got the Popcorn stamps out again for this one and used card that I have never used before and coloured with Prismas again. Bit happier with this one although I did manage to get finger prints on the bottom left of the card.

Less is More - Birds

Well it's Saturday again and time for another Less is More challenge, which this week is one layer with the theme Birds. Me and one layer really don't get on and I don't have any birdie stamps apart from some Clarity silhouette ones, which I may have to dig out and have another go at this challenge as I really don't like this card. Used a stamp from a Popcorn collection, which I haven't used before and coloured it with Prismas. Really don't like the colours I have used and didnt want to leave it so the image looked like it was floating on the card so used a die to create a border. Hmmm back to the drawing board I think with this one!

NB: Is blogger playing up? Can't get on some peoples blogs, it's like they are frozen and can't scroll up or down or click on anything!!

I ♥ Promarkers - Buttons & Lace

This is a very quick post before I head off to bed, but wanted to have a go at the I ♥ Promarkers challenge, which is to use buttons & lace.
Have had this Joanna Sheen stamp for a while now and this is the first time it has been inked up, was really unsure how to colour this one and think the apples are a little red, but only have the one red in promarkers and then after colouring it had no clue what papers to put with it, so went with some freebie paper I found called picnic in the park, the buttons are from the same paper stack and tied the lace into a bow.

Less is More - Purple

Trying to get back into the swing of blogging and card making has taken me a while and really enjoyed making this card for the Less is More challenge, which this week is Predominantly Purple
The word stamp is from Clarity and cut out using a die frame. Flowers are from Marianne and the leaves are new ones from crealies. Love the cleaness and simplicity of this card.

New Beginnings

Thought I would have a go at the Sweet Stampin challenge this week, which is New Beginnings. Made this card for a work colleague who had a baby girl on 28th December, she was nearly 4 weeks early so had to make this one quick hehe.
Used a fizzy moon stamp and got my Prisma's out for the first time. Used spellbinders dies and layered up some pretty pink papers and thats about it for this one.

I ♥ Promarkers - Anything goes

Well it seems like forever since I last made a post. Hope everyone had a fab Christmas and New Year. We took the tree down today, the house is now back to normal and it's back to work tomorrow - Boo.

Thought I would join in with the I ♥ Promarkers challenge, think it's been running for 2 weeks and actually closes tomorrow - oh well better late than never hehe
Used one of the gorgeous stamps from LOTV - still have a few of these that I haven't inked up yet......tsk tsk.......and coloured him with promarkers. Paper I have had for years and added a few punched snowflakes and a couple of flowers.

Hopefully now all the festivities are out of the way I can get back to some proper blogging and join in a few more challenges. Happy crafting :) xx
