Sweet Stampin - Girly but no pink

Am really not getting on with this new blogger layout for creating posts, can't find anything and it had re-set word verification which I didn't realise!!

Anyway thought I would have a go at the Sweet Stampin Challenge, they want girly cards but no pink.  Well when you have 3 boys and get the chance to do anything girly I always go pink, it just has to be done but when I did this card I used a technique for sepia tones that Nikky Hall demonstrated in a magazine and kept the whole card in the same tones but still went for girly.
This image is my first Saturated Canary called Good Morning and I just love her, have already made 3 cards using her, so lovely to colour in.  Think I can see a few more finding there way into my collection they are just so beautiful.  She is coloured with promarkers with some diamond stickles added to make her sparkle.  Papers are from g.c.d Paris Nights.  Used Cheery Lynn dies and flowers from my stash with more diamond stickles added.

Even made a box for this card as there was no way it was going in an envelope with those flowers :)

Hope everyone is having a great weekend and thank you for stopping by :)

Apples galore

This is what I was doing Easter Sunday & Monday.  The weather was so awful I sat with my youngest son watching films and making these lovely needle cases.
I found the pattern in a Simply Homemade magazine and really enjoyed making them.  My original thought was for my son to give one to his teacher when he finishes school in July as he starts secondary school in September, then my mom saw me making them and said she would like one and anyway I ended up making five so I have a few stocking fillers as well hehe :)

New Baby

Well I can definatley say I have been a very bad blogger, what with the Easter holidays and the lovely weather we WERE having (now seems like a distant memory) I have not been on my computer at all so thought I had best pop on and say Hi :)

Even though I have not done much on the blogging side, I have been making cards.  I made this one for a friend at work and used one of my lovely new LOTV stamps, which I loved colouring in.  Used my new heart & corner die from Cheery Lynn (these are finding their way onto alot of my cards).  Papers were a freebie I think form Nitwits and have been stitched.  Used a couple of charms that I brought from the NEC last year and have never used!  Have added a fair bit of sparkle to this card although it doesnt show up to well on the photo.

Have been trying to find a challenge to enter this card and so far can only find Anything Goes at Prairie Fairy :)
