Less is More - Foilage

What a glorious week we have had, why is it the sun comes out when we are back to work and school!  Oh well at least with everything now back to normal I should have a bit more time for crafting :)

This weeks Less is More challenge is the dreaded One Layer with the theme of foliage.

Am I getting more comfortable with this theme, hmm am not sure, but after watching Barbara Gray last week I did think it was time to use my stamps a lot more and have a go masking and inking.  I didnt go as far as getting the brayer out but did have a go with a sponge, nestie and some post-its.
The sentiment stamp is from Clarity but the leaf stamp is from a poinsettia set by Sheena Douglas.  Used Adirondack Lettuce and Memento Rich Cocoa for the inking and stamping.

Hope everyone is having a fab weekend and enjoying the sunshine :)

Gorgeous card. Love the colours, and the rays are really effective.

How lovely, I like the effect of your inking, like rays is sunshine through leaves, very pretty.

This turned out beautiful and you're much braver than me with the CAS! Love the lines that look a bit like sunrays!

So like your embossed frame, wish I could get the same effect. Great shaded lines on the background and the sentiment is super, especially when its done on linen card-stock, mine stamping always has bits missing. A brilliant card.

Your card is lovely, fab choice of colour and you've created such a beautiful effect.

I recently treated myself to a Splodgemat and use my brayer a lot more now. I couldn't bear to waste all the ink before, and I get better results all round now. Just thought I'd mention it - hope you don't mind :)

Comfortable or not, I love the outcome. Great card!
And isn't it tradition that the sun starts to shine when the school starts again? Overhere really is always the case.
