Kenny K - Colour Challange

What a gorgeous Saturday and am hoping to get the same again today.

This weeks Kenny K challenge is a colour challenge and these colours made me think of the seaside and ice cream.

Wasn't sure which image to use for this one as I first thought about "Troublemaker" with her ice cream but went with "Bathing Beauty" as I haven't used her before.

She is coloured with copics and layered on very simple papers.  All the elements I brought years ago to do a scrapbook of our visit to Australia and have never got round to doing!!

Do pop over and check out the rest of the crews creations and why not join in yourself and be in with a chance of winning some Kenny K images :)

Less is More - Cats and/or Dogs

Phew another Monday over and a bank holiday and a few days off coming up yipeee.

Did actually start this card yesterday but with the lovely weather I just had to potter in the garden.

This weeks Less is More challenge is cats and/or dogs, well as the owner of a ragdoll I had to have a cat stamp somewhere!!

Found this stamp buried in a draw that I never go in anymore, can't even tell you where I got it from all I can say is it's from Inkadinkado and as far as I can remember I have used it once before.

I inked it up with Memento tuxedo black and added some perfect pearls and then glitter to some of the dots and used gems on the bigger circles.  Wasn't sure about colouring the eyes, thought green might look good but decided to leave it totally black & white.  The sentiment is computer generated and printed onto a piece of card.
Close up of the image to hopefully show a little better the sparkle.  Think this stamp needs a few more outings as I do rather like it and it stamps beautifully.

Thank you for popping by and do take a look at the rest of the cards on Less is More as there are some stunners over there :)

A bit of Card Making

Not getting chance to blog much of late, work is just manic and with the sun out have finally had chance to get in the garden.

Thought I would post some cards that I have made and find some challenges to enter.

Made this card for one of my crafty friends for her birthday.  The image is Anastasia from Make it Crafty and she is just a joy to colour with my copics. Treated myself to some new Cheery Lynn dies, been after the daisy strip one for ages and I just love Tiny Things with Wings.  The papers are from V & A and My Minds Eye.

Had a lovely day in the garden today and also finished my first Tilda doll, which I will post another time.  Hope you have had a lovely weekend and thank you for stopping by.

Less is More - Coloured Card Base No2

Ok so read the instructions properly this time and found some coloured card.

Not quiet so keen on this one. Used a Clarity stamp again and wanted to use the bleaching technique again but when I used the bleach it turned blue!  Not quiet the colour I was after so went back to the mica powders.

Anyway thank you for stopping by again :)

Less is More - One Layer Coloured Card Base

Well it is nearly the end of another weekend and we didn't get much sunshine.  Spent 3 hours yesterday completely clearing my craft room and it now feels so much nicer to work in.  I didn't have crafters block per say but I didn't want to create anything in the untidy mess it had become.  I am now raring to go!!

So to start I have created a card for the Less is More challenge this week.

I started with black card and embossed a frame using a spellbinder die.  I then stamped a Clarity image with versamark and embossed with black.  I then used, a new technique for me, bleach to create the moon and light on the water.  There must have been some mica powder still on brush I used and it ended up sparkly although you can't see that in the photo.  I added some highlights with a white pen and that's about all for this card.

Thank you for popping by and hope you have had a great weekend :)

Edit: Damn just realised I shouldn't have used black!! and with my clear out yesterday I got rid of a lot of my plain coloured card as I wasn't using it.  Have to have a rummage and see what else I can find.

Kenny K - Steam Punk

Wow another Sunday and time for another Kenny K challenge, which this week is Steampunk.
I have used Atlantea from the Steampunk collection for my card.  She is coloured with promarkers & copics.  The papers are from V & A with some dies added.  I used my Cameo for the cogs.  I do love these images and they are amazing to colour.

Do join in with us this week and be in with a chance to win some Kenny K images and a fab prize from out sponsor this week Marianne Design
