Less is More - One Layer Coloured Card Base

Well it is nearly the end of another weekend and we didn't get much sunshine.  Spent 3 hours yesterday completely clearing my craft room and it now feels so much nicer to work in.  I didn't have crafters block per say but I didn't want to create anything in the untidy mess it had become.  I am now raring to go!!

So to start I have created a card for the Less is More challenge this week.

I started with black card and embossed a frame using a spellbinder die.  I then stamped a Clarity image with versamark and embossed with black.  I then used, a new technique for me, bleach to create the moon and light on the water.  There must have been some mica powder still on brush I used and it ended up sparkly although you can't see that in the photo.  I added some highlights with a white pen and that's about all for this card.

Thank you for popping by and hope you have had a great weekend :)

Edit: Damn just realised I shouldn't have used black!! and with my clear out yesterday I got rid of a lot of my plain coloured card as I wasn't using it.  Have to have a rummage and see what else I can find.

Such a serene scene, beautiful.
I tidied my craft room before I went away and now I don't know where anything is!

This looks fabulous, the white shading is SO effective... quite ethereal and just super.
I'm sorry I'm a bit slow getting around to commenting this week but I've been on grandchildren duty since last Thursday!
Thanks so much

Never mind the black base your card is amazing, I love the white reflections on the water and highlights.... They all bring the scene to life :0)

Those highlights are just wonderful, it lifts the stamp to another level.
