Kenny K - Anything Goes

Well Christmas is nearly here and the end of another year.  This is also my last post as part of the Kenny K DT, which I have totally enjoyed although the pressure of work and family life has seriously kept me away from blogging the last few months.

This weeks Kenny K challenge is anything goes and I have used one of my favourite images Delores D'ammage.
She is coloured with copics with a bit of glitter.  I'm not sure what this style of card is called, but I made it using kraft card.  I usually just use a plain simple card base but I think next year might see some making of different shaped cards :)

Am hoping next year to be able to get back to a bit more blogging.  Am still making plenty of cards, just never seem to get the chance to blog them. Am also looking forward to being able to participate in the Kenny K challenges once again :)

Wishing everyone a fabulous Christmas and New Year x

Kenny K - Anything Goes with a New Release

Oh my I can't believe it is Sunday again and it's nearly December and it's my Birthday today, 21 again ;) !

The past couple of weeks have been extremely hectic, have been finishing the conservatory, can't believe how long it takes to put up wallpaper and gloss woodwork!! And to top it all my mother went into hospital last Thursday for her hip replacement, which has been cancelled twice and she wasn't due to go in until 28th November, so threw me and my siblings into slight panic having to change plans and doing visiting duty.  Thankfully she was only in for 6 days and is now home and doing really well.

On to this weeks Kenny K challenge. I used one of the fab new releases called cupcake celebration and coloured with copics.

Kenny K - Pumps & Pearls

Well blogger managed to post this picture before it should have, and have been so busy the last few days I never noticed until Saturday!

Had a lovely trip to the NEC on Thursday and brought myself a few new bits and pieces and have then spent all day Saturday decorating the conservatory.

The Kenny K Challenge is pumps & pearls.  I used the gorgeous Club Kid and coloured her with copics.
Not sure where the papers are from but used a few dies and of course pearls.

Why not pop over and check out the rest of the teams inspiration and why not join in yourself and be in with a chance to win some Kenny K images, a voucher from Loves Rubber Stamps or a prize from Marianne Design

Kenny K - Sparkle

Another Sunday and another fabulous release from Kenny K.

Loved colouring these gorgeous images and just cut them out and stuck them on to a spellbinder die.
Am in the middle of decorating this weekend having just had my conservatory finished and am finishing the boys bedroom with new skirting board, painting the room ready for new carpet on Wednesday.  My house is just a total mess, oh well not for much longer.

Half term next week so looking forward to a few days off although they will probably be spent getting the house back in order.

Don't forget to pop over to Kenny K's and check out the rest of the DT's creations and why not join in yourself :)

Less is More - Handmade Flowers

Oh my goodness it has been a while since I have managed to enter a Less is More challenge, work & life has seriously got in the way of my crafting time and blogging has been near on impossible.

I have got the week off this week and my youngest son went off to his friends for the day so had an unexpected day to myself so after tidying my craft room I made this card.

The flowers are from Cheery Lyn and the vase and oval Spell Binders.  The sentiment is Clarity and so are the leaves behind the flowers, although they aren't that visible.

Was so nice to sit and make a C & S card, not been able to do this for a while.  Hope you are all enjoying the weather and thank you for stopping by :)

Kenny K - Anything Goes with a New Releases

Now we got some fab new Kenny K girls to play with this week and aren't they just gorgeous.

I have been struggling with inspiration lately so have spent time perusing pinterest and blog land and came across some inspiration from Design by Jenny and Karon's Krafty Korner
These cards are only 3" square and wasn't sure if I could colour the images when they were so small, but yes I could and pretty pleased with how these turned out.
Made this little box following the instructions from karon's blog and really love it and so simple to make. Have just got to make some envelopes now for the cards :)
Really enjoyed making this project and this would make a lovely little gift.

Do pop over to Kenny K and see what the rest of the design team have been making and why not join in and maybe win some Kenny K images :)

Kenny K - Father's Day

What another gorgeous Saturday - spent all day in the garden yesterday and hoping for the same today.

This weeks Kenny K challenge is Father's Day and having 3 boys to sort cards out for Kenny K never disappoints with images to use.

I went with Airborne for this card and all my boys love skateboarding so this image was perfect.  Just got to make 2 more now!
The image is coloured with copics and the papers are from Papermania.  The stamp came with a magazine and the sentiment is computer generated.

Do pop over and see what the rest of the team have been up to and why not have a go yourself, there are some fab prizes up for grabs :)

Kenny K - Colour Challange

What a gorgeous Saturday and am hoping to get the same again today.

This weeks Kenny K challenge is a colour challenge and these colours made me think of the seaside and ice cream.

Wasn't sure which image to use for this one as I first thought about "Troublemaker" with her ice cream but went with "Bathing Beauty" as I haven't used her before.

She is coloured with copics and layered on very simple papers.  All the elements I brought years ago to do a scrapbook of our visit to Australia and have never got round to doing!!

Do pop over and check out the rest of the crews creations and why not join in yourself and be in with a chance of winning some Kenny K images :)

Less is More - Cats and/or Dogs

Phew another Monday over and a bank holiday and a few days off coming up yipeee.

Did actually start this card yesterday but with the lovely weather I just had to potter in the garden.

This weeks Less is More challenge is cats and/or dogs, well as the owner of a ragdoll I had to have a cat stamp somewhere!!

Found this stamp buried in a draw that I never go in anymore, can't even tell you where I got it from all I can say is it's from Inkadinkado and as far as I can remember I have used it once before.

I inked it up with Memento tuxedo black and added some perfect pearls and then glitter to some of the dots and used gems on the bigger circles.  Wasn't sure about colouring the eyes, thought green might look good but decided to leave it totally black & white.  The sentiment is computer generated and printed onto a piece of card.
Close up of the image to hopefully show a little better the sparkle.  Think this stamp needs a few more outings as I do rather like it and it stamps beautifully.

Thank you for popping by and do take a look at the rest of the cards on Less is More as there are some stunners over there :)

A bit of Card Making

Not getting chance to blog much of late, work is just manic and with the sun out have finally had chance to get in the garden.

Thought I would post some cards that I have made and find some challenges to enter.

Made this card for one of my crafty friends for her birthday.  The image is Anastasia from Make it Crafty and she is just a joy to colour with my copics. Treated myself to some new Cheery Lynn dies, been after the daisy strip one for ages and I just love Tiny Things with Wings.  The papers are from V & A and My Minds Eye.

Had a lovely day in the garden today and also finished my first Tilda doll, which I will post another time.  Hope you have had a lovely weekend and thank you for stopping by.

Less is More - Coloured Card Base No2

Ok so read the instructions properly this time and found some coloured card.

Not quiet so keen on this one. Used a Clarity stamp again and wanted to use the bleaching technique again but when I used the bleach it turned blue!  Not quiet the colour I was after so went back to the mica powders.

Anyway thank you for stopping by again :)

Less is More - One Layer Coloured Card Base

Well it is nearly the end of another weekend and we didn't get much sunshine.  Spent 3 hours yesterday completely clearing my craft room and it now feels so much nicer to work in.  I didn't have crafters block per say but I didn't want to create anything in the untidy mess it had become.  I am now raring to go!!

So to start I have created a card for the Less is More challenge this week.

I started with black card and embossed a frame using a spellbinder die.  I then stamped a Clarity image with versamark and embossed with black.  I then used, a new technique for me, bleach to create the moon and light on the water.  There must have been some mica powder still on brush I used and it ended up sparkly although you can't see that in the photo.  I added some highlights with a white pen and that's about all for this card.

Thank you for popping by and hope you have had a great weekend :)

Edit: Damn just realised I shouldn't have used black!! and with my clear out yesterday I got rid of a lot of my plain coloured card as I wasn't using it.  Have to have a rummage and see what else I can find.

Kenny K - Steam Punk

Wow another Sunday and time for another Kenny K challenge, which this week is Steampunk.
I have used Atlantea from the Steampunk collection for my card.  She is coloured with promarkers & copics.  The papers are from V & A with some dies added.  I used my Cameo for the cogs.  I do love these images and they are amazing to colour.

Do join in with us this week and be in with a chance to win some Kenny K images and a fab prize from out sponsor this week Marianne Design

Kenny K - Tic-Tac-Toe

Well here we are another Sunday and another fabulous challenge over at Kenny K's and what's more there are some fabulous new releases!!

The challenge this week is tic-tac-toe, so you can make a card using anything in the squares in a straight line or diagonally.

My first card I have used the gorgeous Tomboy Trouble, she is coloured with copics.  I used the first row from tic-tac-toe - flowers, lots of layers, swirls & glitter.

After making the first card I had to have another go so used Texting Diva, she is coloured with copics & promarkers. This time I used the 3rd row down - swirls, digi image, ribbon & die-cuts.
I was going to make one more card using the final new release Queen For a Day but unfortunately only got as far as colouring her in.
Well I hope you like these gorgeous new releases and the DT have given you some inspiration.

Do pop over to Kenny K's and join in with the challenge and don't forget to use a Kenny K image to be in with a chance of winning 5 Kenny K digis and a £10 voucher from Natalie & Amy's

Mo Manning - DT Call

Oh WOW Mo Manning is having a Design Team Call!!

I love Mo's images and have quiet a collection although I don't seem to have blogged many of them.  Having 7 nephews her male images are just perfect and I am usually making a card last minute for one of them and always forget to photograph them hence why not many of them have been blogged!

So anyway thought I would have a go.  Made this card last week for my sister and just loved colouring it in.  Actually used these colours on another Mo image the other week, which I did blog - scroll down a bit :) - and just had to use them again.

Used the fabulous 'Checking FB' and coloured her with copics.  Papers are from g.d.c and used kraft card for matting.  Sentiment is from LOV and the letter stamps are Clarity.

Thought I would show you the box I also made for this card and the paper roses I made for my sister.  Used a pattern from The Elli Blog and there is also a string of LED lights running through the roses, which looks so pretty when all lit up :)

Thank you for stopping by and thank you for the chance to try out for the fabulous DT :)

I went with both! The lovely "Blonde Bombshell" has been cut out using Spellbinders, with a corner die and fancy flourish from Cheery Lyn.  Butterfly and border are Martha Stewart punches.  Leaves are from Marianne and 2 size daisy punches.  The frilly flowers were cut using my Cameo.  Papers are from My Minds Eye.  This card is a 5.5" square rather than my usual 8" square.

Do pop over to Kenny K and see what the rest of the design team have been up to and why not join in yourself.  Remember to use a Kenny K image for the chance to win some digi images and $20 voucher to spend in Flonz
