Anything Goes

Oh boy what a week, I am so hating the snow right now! It looks so beautiful when it first falls, but now it is causing nothing but chaos. Ended up booking the rest of this week of work as I wasn't due to break up until Christmas Eve, but as it has been so quiet I couldnt see the point of fighting my way into work everyday so have got a couple of un-expected days that I can do some crafting hehe :)

Not really had chance to enter many challenges over the last few weeks, but I made this card last week for my son to give to his friend last Saturday for her Birthday as it happens he ended up not going to the party as we were hit with 10 inches of snow. Hopefully we will be able to drop it round if this snow ever clears!! This week at I ♥ Promarkers the challenge is for Anything Goes. Have used my new stamp from LOTV called Rosie with Presents and coloured her with promarkers. The senitment is also from LOTV. Not sure what the backing paper is as I have had it for ages.

Wishing everyone a fantastic Christmas and New Year and looking forward to entering lots of new challenges in 2011 :)

Thank you for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment as I love reading them :)

WOYWW 80

I cannot believe it's Wednesday again! Where on earth do the weeks go and my gosh what time do you ladies get up in the morning, was on here first thing while at work and there were already at least 50 posts!

Anyway here is my desk for today, I did actually give it a bit of a tidy yesterday so it's not looking to bad at the moment.
I finished making the box the other day so wanted to show you that and used my new Whiff of Joy, Fancy shape on it, which I am loving and using where ever I can hehe. I am in the middle of finishing off a new baby card for someone at work and I had some new stash arrive today. Orderd the Forever Friends Black and Gold cd ages ago from Create & Craft, which finally arrived today. And LOTV sent me an email yesterday advertising their new stamps coming out in January and as I was a little bored at work had a quick look round at some of their other stamps and ended up ordering For You Circular Sentiments stamps, Calendar Stamp and Rosie with Presents stamp and can't believe they came today! Thats what I call a service hehe.

Off to make a card now for my son to give to his friend on Saturday for her birthday, think I will use my new Rosie with Presents :)

I will probably be bored again tomorrow at work so will come looking at everyones work desk. Have fun and enjoy the rest of your evening.

A Christmas Carol

This week at I ♥ promarkers the theme is 'A Christmas Carol/Song'. I brought this fab stamp a while ago from LOTV and not had chance to use it, so thought it was definatley time it was inked up!
Have used memento ink to stamp the image onto Neenah Classic card and coloured with promarkers. Glittered the image up with diamond sparkles. Used my fab new die 'Fancy Shape' from Whiff of Joy and stamped it with one of their season's greetings. Papers are by Papermania, which Osbornes were selling off so brought two packets :) Punched out the flower, leaves and snowflakes and added a bit of sparkle and a couple of gems.

Followed another fab sketch from Friday sketchers, which I realised when editing the photo for the website, I have stuck two of the back papers round the wrong way so you cant really see one of the layers - oops
Anyway thank you for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment as I love reading them :)

Monochromatic

Over at Kenny K's this week the challenge is Monochromatic. Well this is totaly new to me and to be honest I found it a little daunting. I pondered for a long time over what colour I should go with and decided in the end to stick with grey promarkers.
I used Mrs Claus for this card (she was one of my freebies for winning the challenge the other week - hehe). Sparkled her up with some glitter and mounted her on black and silver mirror card. The backing paper is from the Mono Paper Pack from Papermania and the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, which I sprayed with a bit more glitter :)
For my first attempt at colouring in this style i'm pretty pleased and will definatley be trying this again, maybe with a colour next time :)
Thank you for stopping by today and dont forget to leave a comment as I love reading them :)

WOYWW - 77 or is it 78

Not had chance to do any crafting since last Wednesday, have been dieing to play with some of my new stash but life just keeps getting in the way! Haven't even managed to enter any new challenges so far this week, roll on the weekend...........

I did manage to make some labels though for jars of sweets for my sons Christmas Fair and my lovelly mother brought me some bunches of flowers from the pound shop (which I did wonder how the hell am I going to use these!!) and then realised that they worked wonders if you take them apart and now I have hundreds of flowers hehe.

Have also been experimenting with boxes as I love buying jewellery as gifts but can never find nice boxes to present them in, so had best get on and finish at least one!

Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday (I know not much of it left), will have to try and visit some of your fab workspaces during my lunch break at work wont get any crafting done at all if I start blog hopping now hehe

Tag It

This week at Kenny K's the challenge is Tag It. I keep finding ideas for these little bags, which at I am enjoying making (think i'm just trying to avoid making Christmas cards!) Any way I found this bag on the Whiff Of Joy Tutorials site.
Have used a Kenny K image and coloured her with promarkers, used a glitter gell pen on her fur trim, but I can't get the photo to show the sparkle.

Thank you for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment as I love reading them :)

Snowmen & A Sketch

This week at I ♥ Promarkers the challenge is for Snowmen. I used my one and only snowman stamp for last weeks challenge and didn't really want to use it again so had to go hunting for another image. Luckily Charmed Cards & Crafts came to the rescue and I remembered I had Dottie & George Christmas collection.
I used the fantastic sketch over at Friday Sketchers, coloured Dottie and her snowman in with promarkers (used a white glitter on the snowman - makes him look fluffy in RL hehe) The papers are from Nitwits, but were free with a magazine :)

Am also going to enter this card into the 2 Sisters Challenge.

Thank you for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment as I love reading them :)

Red Challenge

Dottie's World are running an anything goes - red challenge with a fantastic magnolia stamp as a prize! I have admired these stamps for a while but as yet have not purchased any (may have to put a couple on my christmas list :) )

Anyway wasn't sure what image to use for this challenge, I knew I wanted to use a Charmed image but which one. I ended up downloading their new collection called Santa's Little Helpers and I'm really glad I did as they are all just gorgeous. I used All Wrapped Up and coloured her with promarkers and then got stuck with what papers to use, I just couldn't get anything to work. I ended up just putting her in the middle of a blank white card in frustration to look at it later and thought that works! So ended up going all white :) Hope you like her.

Am also going to enter this card into the Creative Inspirations Challenge as they want anything Christmassy/Winter :)

Thank you for stopping by and dont forget to leave a comment as I love reading them :

Icy Colours and A Sketch

This week at I ♥ Promarkers the challenge is for Icy Colours and I followed another great sketch from Friday Sketchers.

Dug out a really old stamp for this card, which I brought years ago when I first took an interest in card making, but was never able to stamp it up properly until now. I love using digital images but there are so many beautifull stamps out there, which I have recently been buying, and through trial and error i can now, fingers crossed, get these stamps to work for me. I must thank Rachel Jakes, who makes the most stunning cards, who uses Neenah Classic card and Memento Ink to stamp her images. So off I went to The Hobby House web site and purchased myself some of this card and all I can say is WOW, it work wonders, soooo I have been having ago with all my stamps old and new :)

Anyway back to the card, snowflake paper was a freebie with a magazine, probably from last year and the sentiment is from TLC. Oh and the image is coloured with Promarkers :)

Thank you for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment as I love reading them :)

Anything but a square

This week at Kenny K's they wanted anything but a square, so I decided to make a little gift bag. I found the tutorial for this bag on the Wiff of Joy Inspiration blog, think I will be making a few of these for the girls at work :)
Used the fab Mistletoe from Kenny K's Chritmas collection and coloured her with promarkers, the trim of her dress, hat and boots I used a glitter gel pen and used the same pen to colour the snowflakes. Paper is another freebie from a magazine.
Am also going to enter her into this weeks challenge over at I ♥ Promarkers, which is for snowflakes, I hope purple ones count! hehe.
Thank you for stopping by :)

Make it Christmas

Kenny K has just brought out some fantastic new Christmas digi's and this weeks challenge is to 'Make it Christmas'
I have used 'Mistletoe' for my card and coloured her with promarkers and copics. I used glitter for the trim of her outfit (just wish I could get the photo to portray how much it sparkles) The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, this is the first time I have used them on a card and any hints on how to stick the damn things down would be appreciated, ended up using superglue! Papers are from the stash.

Thank you for stopping by :)

Think Pink and a Sketch

This week over at I ♥ promarkers they wanted PINK as it is Breast Cancer Awareness month.
I found this kitten in my digi downloads folder and had no clue where I had got it from until I went over to check out the Friday Sketchers challenge and there it was! A free digi from Motivet. So I decided to use the image for the Friday sketch challenge.
This image reminded me of my little cat Molly when she was a kitten, have coloured her with promarkers and used Forever Friends papers.

This is a picture of my very spoilt cat Molly.

Thank you for stopping by today :)

Harry Potter from Bugaboo

What can I say about these fantastic new digi stamps from Bugaboo...... the minute I saw them I had to buy the lot!!

This is the first time I have used Bugaboo images and they are truly wonderful. I love the simplicity of these drawings.

I wanted to keep this card very simple and make it all about the image ( I did have to get a bit of sparkle on it though hehe)
This image is called 'Chosen One' and I coloured him with promarkers and copics. I used some clear gloss finish on his glasses, which has creased the paper slightly tsk - haven't used it before - anyway this card will be going off to my nephew at the end of the month :)

Thank you for stopping by :)

Pearls & Swirls

This week over at I ♥ Promarkers they wanted "Pearls & Swirls" and Kenny K are after "Bling". Two of my favourite things, although after I had started making this card I realised I didnt have any pearls in the colour I wanted! Anyway here is my card....

Used the fab Kitty Katastrophe (again! really must dig out some of my other images) and coloured her with promarkers. Wanted to get away from my usual colour of blue (everything I have made seems to be blue lately). Papers were free with my cuttlebug from Create and Craft.
Thank you for stopping by :)

Followed another great sketch over at Friday Sketchers for this card.

White on White

This week over at I ♥ Promarkers everything had to be white apart from the image. I have never done anything like this before so this was a bit of a challenge. Anyway here is my attempt.

Used the fab Kitty Katastrophe from Kenny K and coloured her with Promarkers. I made the little white flowers and added some punched leaves, butterfly and swirls.
Thank you for a fab challenge.

Myth & Magic

Oh wow what a theme. I could have made so many cards for this challenge at I ♥ ProMarkers but unfortunately I just do not have the time. Charmed Cards & Crafts recently brought out a new collection called 'Once Upon a Time' which fitted perfectly for this challenge and I have been dieing to purchase them so today I did :)

This is the first time I have made an easel card and struggled a bit trying to fit pieces in, but i'm pretty happy with the end result
Discovered easel cards aren't the easiest to photograph so took a few from different angles.
Images and sentiment are from Charmed Cards & Crafts and coloured with promarkers. Everything else is from the stash. Thank you for stopping by :)

Charming

Where does the time go...........work has kept me very busy over the last few weeks so have not had chance to make any cards never mind take part in the fab challenges. Am entering her into the I ♥ Promarkers challenge, which this week they wanted a charm included and the Kenny K challenge, which this week their theme is music to coincide with some fantastic new images they have just released.

The image I have used is from Kenny K and coloured with Promarkers and used bits and pieces from the stash. The charm I think was from The Works (have had it a long time).

The image is from the new Kenny K collection, Gothic Angels, and shes called Kitty Katastrophe. Coloured her with promarkers and added some sparkle, which I can never get to show in photos. Paper is from Papermania, made the flowers and heart buttons, ribbon I think was off a box of chocolates :)

Can't wait for the next challenge!

Manly with a twist

This week over at Dottie's World, Adele wants a manly card and the twist being it had to have ribbon.

Lets go to the movies

The challenge this week over at Dottie's World was to use a Charmed Crafts download and relate it to a movie. Well this had me stumped so had to ask my other half for help and he actually gave me loads of ideas. I ended up going with Mary Poppins and 'Lets go fly a kite'.

I hope you like her.................
A very simple card just using one of the girls from the Sugar and Spice collection and just a few bits and pieces from the stash.

Kenny K

I first came across these images on Rachel Jakes's blog and thought they were absolutely stunning. I have only purchased this image........................so far :)
Coloured her in with copics and promarkers.
Background paper is from the Vintage Heaven cd by Debbie Moore the other papers Ihave had for years so not to sure what they are. Sentiment is from TLC. Flowers and gems from the stash.
I will be giving this card to another girlfriend at work for her birthday in August. I hope she likes it.

Lady in Red

Made this card for a girlfriend at work for her birthday - she actually asked me to make her a red card as this is her favourite colour.
The image is from My Craft Studio Deco Follies, I just adore these ladies, coloured with copics & promarkers and the papers are from the Vintage Heaven CD by Debbi Moore, flowers and gems from the stash.
My friend loved her card.

That Summer Feeling

The challenge this week over at Dottie's World is to make a summery card but something different than you would usually make......pretty much everything I'm making at the moment is different :)

I love this image of Dottie and George getting married and have wanted to use the reverse of this image for a while. A work colleague had asked if I could make a card for her son to give to his brother on their wedding day (which was Saturday) so this is what I made............
Used the pre-coloured image from the Love & Marriage collection - papers were a freebie with a magazine. Sunburst image is from Istockphoto. Flowers, gems and ribbon from the stash, sentiment from TLC. Used acetate to cover the circle cut from the middle of the card.

And here is the inside...........
This is the first card I have made for someone else to give and apparently brother, bride and groom were chuffed and I got a bottle of wine for making it :)
Thank you once again for a fab challenge.

Monday, 12 July 2010

Vintage Style

The Sunday challenge set by Gunn over at Dotties World was for Vintage Style. Wasn't sure if I could do vintage but here's my attempt.
Used one of the very pretty Sugar and Spice girls and coloured her with promarkers - think I need to look at using a different paper for printing the images on to as I am getting bleed issues especially with the darker colours. Papers are from K&Company that I have had for absolutely years and have never known what to use them for. Paper roses from stash, which were actually white and coloured them with promarkers.
I even did an inside for this card inspired by Karen (which is why I didnt post last night - took longer than expected :))
Sentiment is from TLC

Thank you for a fab challenge, I am actually making cards now just because I can rather than having someone in mind. Plus I am getting to use alot of my stash that I have been collecting for years and not really making the most of :)

Hot it Up!

I am so late with this again! Another challenge from Dottie's World where they wanted to see HOT colours.

I hope this is hot enoughUsed one of the fab images from Holy & Madison World Tour collection and used the paper piecing again from last week and coloured her with copics. Papers were a freebie with a scrapbooking magazine. Made a couple of quilled orange roses. Text is from Create with TLC (what a fantastic site that is) and added the must have sparkle. The orange roses have been glittered as well but i dont think it shows to well in the photo. (Have given my fella the challenge of taking photos of my cards and still show the sparkle!)

Thank you for yet another brill challenge. Am now off to look at this weeks challenge although i'm not sure I can do vintage, but I will give it ago.
