Flowers & Pearls

What a miserable day, done nothing but rain here today and am back at work tomorrow!

Oh well gave me a good excuse to sit crafting all day :) Finished cards for the kids to give their dad for his birthday. Need to find some challenges so I can blog them.

Also made a card for the Kenny K challenge, which is flowers and I ♥ Promarkers, which is to use pearls.

Used the very cool Club Kid from Kenny K and coloured her with promarkers then went to town with flowers, pearls, embosing, stamping, stitching - can you tell I have been making alot of clean & simple cards lately, making this was like being let loose on all my crafty stash! hehe

Forgot to say this is a 8x8 card which I love as you can make the image really big and add loads of embelishments.

Hope you are all having a fab bank holiday and having better weather than I am in Brum :)

Less is More - Squares

Well have managed to do a bit of commenting, thanks to Denise, she suggested I use a different web browser as it seems blogger is not liking IE so have been using google chrome for commenting.

Have managed to get a card made today for the Less is More challenge, which is squares.
Dug out some really old stamps that I have actually never used!! After colouring them with copics I heat embossed the images a few times and then stuck them in the freezer so I could crack them and rubbed ink over the cracks. Have seen this done many times in magazines etc but never actually tried it before.

Hope everyone is having a fab weekend :)

Kenny K White on White

Oh boy what is going on with blogger!! Had a free couple of hours this morning and not been able to comment on anyones blogs, keeps asking me to sign in!

Anyway going to try and post this card for the Kenny K challenge, which is white on white.
Used the fabbylicious Kitty Katastrophe and coloured her with promarkers and added a bit of sparkle. The rest of the card is made with white pearl paper that has been run through the cuttlebug, a MS punch, a Marianne die and some ribbon :)

Thank you for looking and don't forget to leave a comment :)

Butterflies

Gosh it has been a while since I have posted, on-line gaming took over this week as it had been down for over two weeks and it came back up last Sunday so have ended up not doing any crafting.

This week at Less is More the challenge is Butterflies and WOW there are some gorgeous entries over there. As always it has taken me ages to decide what I was going to do and still not overly sure about this finished card but really didn't want to mess with it anymore.Have used an image from Charmed Cards and printed directly onto the card. Printed the butterfly a few more times onto seperate card and coloured using my new Big & Juicy ink pad Waterfall and cut out. Have also added some glitter to the final layer and then stuck them to the main card. Added some embossed lines around the edge of the card and thats about it.

Hope everyone has had a fab weekend, can't believe it has gone so quickly, roll on the bank holiday :)

Pink & Brown

Happy Saturday everyone! Hope blogger is more stable now and we can all get back to posting and commenting hehe

This week at I ♥ Promarkers the theme is Pink & Brown and what a fab combination this is, reminds me of chocolate and strawberry icecream.....yummy :)
Made ths card for a friend at work who is going in to hospital for a quick operation. Used a lovely image from LOTV, which my lovely blogging pal Rosie sent me and coloured her with promarkers and added a bit of glitter. Paper is from Country Companions and used MS punches and a Marianne swirl and added some liquid pearls. Flowers are from The Hobby House. I even did the inside to match.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, I am having to work Sunday so am going to lose some precious crafty time, oh well at least it will mean a day off some where else hehe :)

Who Rolled back Blogger?!!

It seems last night Blogger went down for some sort of maintenance and I ended up losing my WOYWW post some of my comments and can no longer access any of the posts in my followers list that were posted 1 day ago, which is a little annoying as I spent a good hour last night blog hopping ....grrrrr...... going to see if there are any comments anywhere about it, want to make sure it's not just me that has gone wrong hehe

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday? 101

EDIT: I got my post back and have re-entered WOYWW even though it's Saturday!!

Well it's Wednesday again! Slowly getting some time to do some blogging which has been impossible the last few weeks.

Thought I would show you a quick pic of my desk, not really much going on, trying to get some birthday and father's day cards done for my boys to give their dad (his birthday is the day before father's day!) and the other card was for the white on white challenge which is in the blog below :)
Picked up my new Big and Juicy's from the post office today, been dieing to have a go with these although I haven't gone as far as buying a brayer...yet!

Thought I would show you a pic of my whole crafty space, not looking very tidy at the moment on the left out of the picture is some floor to ceiling units, where I keep card and punches and a few other bits and bobs :)

Hope everyone is having a fab Wednesday and if you want to see some more desks from around the world pop over to Julia's blog

White on White

Well I am now into my second week of no on-line gaming, Sony are going to be losing alot of money over this if not a lot of customers. To be honest I haven't really missed it and did think I would have more time for card making but for some reason that hasn't happend, although me and the other half did spend two days clearing out the loft a job I have wanted to do for 18 months so pretty pleased with that :)

Anyway onto the card, the Less is More challenge this week is for white on white. Now I have done this before but I have always used a very bold coloured image and then everything else has been white. So I did struggle with this and spent a long while wondering what I could do. I spent the weekend looking through a lot of my old craft magazines and came across a card made in this style although the one in the magazine used some lovely colours and a very frilly pretty flower but I thought it would work well all in white.
I used a pearly white paper for the backing and all the cut out embellishments. Used my embosing board to create the background, leaves and flower centres are Marianne dies. Used a pearl in the centre of the large flowers and liquid pearls for the small flowers.

I hope you like my card this week, really enjoyed making this one and if you have never been over to the Less is More blog then you will be blown away with all the entries and how stunning each and everyone of them are and the amazing Chrissie and Mandi that run the blog and come up with these challenges and visit and comment on every entry. Well done girls you are brilliant :)
